Rewind for 10/22/14

Welcome to the Website for the
Fair Lawn High School Class of 1961

Reflect, Rejoice, Renew

This website is dedicated to our classmates for the purpose of promoting, celebrating and reconnecting with all members of the Fair Lawn High School Class of 1961.

Here you will find photos from our 50th Reunion Weekend (left column), plenty of memories, and a great way for you to see what's become of everyone. This is our Class of '61 website, so come back often and update your information as it changes. Your participation is essential for it to succeed. The more you participate, the better it will be. Be sure to check the Announcements (below) for any "breaking" news and to read the Classmate Message Forums (left column) to see what our classmates are saying.

Members of the class of '61, if you haven't already done so, please register and fill in your profile. (You can update it at any time later as well.) Look at the FAQ/Help for Users in the left menu column for details (see question #1) and for help navigating the site. If you are having any problems or want something changed or added, please let us know through the Contact Us link. This is your web site.

To see which classmates have added photos to their profiles, go to "Classmate Profiles" and click on the link for "Profile contains photos." Also be sure to keep checking back to see new photos added to the "Photo Albums" (left menu column). The dates under the albums are when the most recent photo was added to that album. (Unfortunately we have no way, yet, to indicate which photos were added when.)

New Photos Added

Roni and Jerry Liebowitz uploaded some photos that they took recently with Judy Krampf Gladstein, David Harrison, Mike Nach, and Tom Zaniello. You can see them in the Album labled Photos (1980 - recent).

Rita Ensign sent in a photo of Rita, Bev Solinsky, Sue Eberhardt and Donna Longeville singing "Honey Bun (101 Tons of Fun)" in our Junior Class Variety Show. Look for it in the "High School Years album under "Photo Albums" (left column).

And Betty Nehaz Botel has sent us photos from our 30th and 45th Reunions in addition to many other old photos that need to be scanned and uploaded. Keep looking for them.

Please send us some of yours - old and/or recent.

Carol Gibbs Stover sent us a message
about her new novel:

Hi All! My second novel, "Surviving 26th Street" has just been published. It can be bought at any bookstore by ISBN (9781630041021) or on as a soft cover or Kindle e-book and as a Nook e-book and on my publisher's website. My website with all of those links is:

"Surviving 26th Street" is a work of literary fiction set in northern NJ in a fictional town named Mayfair. However, it is actually set in Fair Lawn in the summer of 1954, the story of a family's struggle with the inner-conflicts about to destroy it. Many thanks to all of our classmates for their encouragement and support for my second career as a writer, Carol.

Our 50th Reunion is now a memory.

Click here to see who came.

Look at the 50th Reunion Photo galleries (left column) for photos of our Reunion Weekend. Please add your own photos if you haven't already done so.

We need photos!

Please send us photos for uploading to our albums. You can either email them as attachments or upload them to your profile (and we will place them into albums). We'd like as many photos as possible of our classmates during the years.

Also, there are several photos in the albums (especially the early years) that have classmates not yet identified. If you can identify any of them, please let us know. Those who did not graduate with us should still be identified.

New photos are being added regularly. be sure to keep checking back to see new photos added to the "Photo Albums" (left menu column). The dates under the albums are when the most recent photo was added to that album. Unfortunately we have no way (yet) to indicate which photos were added when.

Special thanks to Chris Stohldrier for scanning the entire Yearbook! The individual photos are on each classmate's Profile page. The entire Yearbook will be online in the future. Other contributors of old (and recent) photos: Mary Clare Allen Swartz, Sheila Brand Stout, Bill Camp, Rita Ensign Zatkow Kilmnick, Paula Ferris Einaudi, Chris Freitag, Ellen Rosefield Goodman, Elaine Kirsh, Jerry Liebowitz, Marion Sugden Lill, Betty Nehaz Botel, Ian Newman, Anne O'Neill Horst, Beverly Phillips Madwatkins, Roni Seibel Liebowitz, Irene Stoddard Dietz, and Ron Thompson.
