Arlene Cassert (Fatigati)

Arlene Casert Fatigati passed away on July 7, 2006, after battling cancer. She had been a third grade teacher at Franklin School (Bergenfield, NJ) for 27 years. The president of the Bergenfield Shool District reported her passing and said at the Board Meeting on July 17: "To say that she will be missed by both her peers and students is an understatement. Arlene was a beautiful person, and I would ask that we please take a moment to remember her."

Arlene is survived by her husband, Charles (Chuck), also a member of the FLHS Class of 1961, and her two children -- Lauren (39) and John (34).

FATIGATI - Arleen C. (nee Cassert) of Allendale, died on Friday, July 07, 2006. She was a third grade teacher for 27 years at the Franklin School in Bergenfield. She attended Our Lady Of Mount Carmel R.C. Church in Ridgewood. She is survived by her beloved husband Charles, to whom she was married for forty years, her loving daughter Lauren Brown and her husband William of Mahwah, and her loving son John and his wife Darnell of Edgewater. She is also survived by her brother Leonard of Chicago, IL. A funeral mass celebrating Arleen's life will take place on Monday, 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church, 1 Passaic Street, Ridgewood. Entombment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus will follow. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Franklin School Memorial Fund, 2 North Franklin Avenue, Bergenfield, NJ 07621, would be appreciated.
