TOMS RIVER — Joan M. (Lewis) Hagedorn, 63, died peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, at the Community Medical Center in Toms River. She was born in Paterson on Sept. 27, 1944. She was a longtime resident of Midland Park before moving to Toms River.

Surviving are her children, Donna and Tim Omelianuk of Midland Park, Kimberly and Mike Penque of Stockholm and Jay and Kristen Hagedorn of Cedar Grove. Joan also leaves five grandchildren, T.J., Michael, Kyle, Paige and Morgan; her sister, Barbara Belhumer; her brother, Harold Lewis, and her longtime companion, Calvin Thompson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Olthuis Funeral Home, 159 Godwin Ave., Midland Park. Interment will follow in the Laurel Grove Memorial Park in Totowa. Visiting is Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
